Invicta since 1837! :-) . . . . #invicta #invictaoriginal #vintagewatch #vintagefashion #invictawatch #invictawatches #invictabrasil #invictayakuza #watch #watches #luxury #luxurywatches #fashion #fashionblogger #f4f #followforfollowback #f4follow #wotd #watchoftheday #watchoftheweek #horloges #luxurylifestyle #horlogeforum
Invicta was founded in 1837 by Raphael Picard in La Chaux-de-Fonds. His sons led the company at the end of the nineteenth century under the name Les Fils de R. Picard (the sons of R. Picard). It was a production that made its own movements in Delémont and Le Locle, and at the beginning of the twentieth century one of the company's most famous caliber was a minute repeater.
Once upon a time, when watches were not yet powered by quartz movement, solar energy had to be wound by hand!
Invicta is known to me for making interesting watches. Whether it's a men's or a women's, it's always spectacular. Today I received a very special watch from someone I would like to share with you!
In the previous blogs I have given a short summary about the history of Invicta before the Quartz crisis. When I talk to people, you tubers, influencers who think they are experts in the watch industry, it strikes me that they know a little about the established brands. But not much about the small "Swiss" brands that have often disappeared in the course of history.
In my previous blog I wrote that I received a number of documents about the history of Invicta from musee de l'horlogerie. These documents deal with various issues, such as the history of history, with regard to the content of various lines that Invicta had throughout history, but also with regard to auctions of antique pieces.
How Invicta started is still a difficult question for many. Many watch collectors are of the opinion that the current Invicta that is located in America has little to do with the Vintage Invictas that you encounter on EBay, Chrono24, etc. But is this really true and what path has Invica been going through all those years? out? With these kinds of questions in mind, I look for the roots of this brand.
